Silent Mentors

Yeap, that’s what they call the cadavers used for the study of Human Anatomy in Tzu Chi University‘s medical school located in Hualien, Taiwan. A wall street journalist once wrote an article regarding this. Click here if you want to read it. 🙂

Anyway! I had my first anatomy practical today. We had to take a pledge with one hand touching any part of the cadavers after sitting through about an hour of lecture/briefing. Believe me, I was pretty nervous myself because it was my first time dealing with cadavers. I’ve been to Body Worlds exhibition at the Singapore Science Centre and it was nothing like it. I thought my stomach would twist and turn, but it didn’t! Must be the open mind towards learning. Heh. The rest of the day went by in a blur. Cannot. Lose. Focus.

I’m tired now. Maybe I should turn in and study in the morning since school starts at 2pm tomorrow. It’s still January and I’m procrastinating already. Must. Stop. This. Soon. Okay happy TGIF in advance, people! 🙂
